How to Obtain a Certified Marriage Record In Person

If the marriage occurred long ago, you can find the records you need at the county. To obtain a marriage license, see our Marriage License page. Here are some tips for accessing hard-to-find marriage license records: Contact the County Historical Society. Certified copies are restricted to the two individuals who obtained the license or anyone authorized by their notarized consent to obtain the record. Birth, death, marriage and divorce records are typically managed and made available at the local county clerks office where the event took place. Peoria County Clerk’s Office keeps official records of marriages that occur within Peoria County. Please maintain social distancing where possible.
